Since the middle of November we have been to San Diego twice, sold our house, "moved out," took a vacation to Hawaii, bought a van, changed jobs/careers; spent time in Northern Utah for Thanksgiving, Pre-Christmas, and some time in January; offered on five different houses in Las Vegas, finally got under contract on one of those houses, got sick with colds and the stomach flu, and had a wonderful Christmas in the midst of all of that.
There has been so much adventure, craziness, and fun these last couple of months, but I haven't even had a chance to blog about any of it. I decided I wanted to "catch up," but as you can imagine it would be way too many pictures and a lot of writing, so I have made videos of the major adventures, except Thanksgiving because I didn't have as many pictures. I also don't think I will do a lot of explaining for each adventure, so the videos will have to speak for themselves.
San Diego 1 - We took this trip with my parents and Aaron before we moved. We hit Lego Land, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Bay Cruise, Outside of the San Diego Temple, and the Mormon Battalion Center.
Thanksgiving - We went up to the cabin for Thanksgiving and spent it with Steve and Deana and all of Josh's siblings. Then we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Mayo's on our way home for a nice breakfast with the Molly and the Mayos.
Hawaii - The Big Island We went around the whole island starting with beaches and snorkeling, to visiting the volcano, then back to more snorkeling and beaches. We also saw National Historic sites where he king used to dwell, and walked around one of the bigger towns the night of our flight. Payson and Avenly loved snorkeling, and Zaylee loved eating sand. We saw a lot of turtles and different fish. I even saw a needle fish. The video is cool, although the picture quality is not great in it, so I will let it speak for the rest of our vacation to Hawaii.
Christmas - After buying our van in California, the kids and I drove to Ogden where we had our first Christmas with Josh's parents, and the Jones family party. Then we went to St. George to have the Sock Party and Christmas with my entire family.
San Diego 2 - For Josh's new job as an HR recruiter, he has to travel to the cities and counties he will be recruiting for. Right now he is still in training and working with other recruiters, so he has been traveling a lot. He will work from home and travel less as he gets his own clients. Anyways, we went to San Diego with him so he could work there. First we stopped at Joshua Tree National Park. Then, in Sand Diego, we were able to walk around Old Town, go to Mormon Battalion Center again with my cousins and aunt and uncle, La Jolla Cove, and Balboa Park.
