I'm getting Married

So, I am officially graduating from the single life! I am ENGAGED!!

Here's a little back ground!

Josh and I met last Summer in August. We met country swing dancing, and I gave him my phone number because I was kind of mad at another guy!! We stayed in touch through phone, text, and facebook, but didn't actually go on our first date until the beginning of October. I have seen him every week since then!! :-) It wasn't love at first sight, but it was definitely good. There was something going on that prompted me to keep going out with him!

It is now the end of January and he has asked me to marry him. This is how it happened: Josh was really busy getting ready to apply for graduate school. In spite of this business, we managed to look at rings, and Josh bought the one I wanted. This was about two and a half weeks ago. Since then, he studied so hard for the GRE, which took a lot of time. During this time, I wanted to be engaged, but the ring was not in Josh's possession because it needed to be adapted and sized. This made it easy, but I knew as soon as Josh picked up the ring it would drive me crazy knowing that he would have it in his possession. I thought he wouldn't ask me the same week he took the GRE, but to my surprise he asked me the very day, not even an hour later!!

The proposal: I was coming from Provo and he was coming from d0wn town Salt Lake. I received a text from Josh that said, "meet me at the Draper Temple, right now- no questions asked." Then I knew, and I was SUPER excited. I started checking my teeth, popped in a piece of gum, and tried to look my best! We met at the North East corner of the Temple, where it was freezing. The wind was blowing, and my hair was all over the place!! BUT the view was beautiful, Josh was excited to see me, and I didn't care how cold it was because the love of my life was about to propose!! It took some time, despite the cold. He put his hands in my coat pocket, and told me I could do the same. I put my hands in his coat pockets, and felt the ring box! He then pulled it out, got on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I said YES, of course!!

He later told me that he was going back and forth trying to decide if he should do at the time he did it. He was going to do a more elaborate thing, but this was perfect for me! I was ready, he was ready, and here we are ready to get married!!
