While we were in Omaha, we stopped in Council Bluffs (Kainsville) to see the Kainsville Tabernacle. I didn't realize that many members came that far, and after staying for two years when President Brigham Young said to come west to Salt Lake- they were sick of plugging along so they joined the RLDS church. Since then many of these family's decendents have made their way back to the LDS church, and are working on missionary work on their fellow neighbors.
The Temple had beautiful stained glass. The visitors center had a mini Church history museum with an original chair that Brigham Young sat on during the trek.
On the way home we happened to come across an outlet mall. Unfortunetly he closed at 8, so we had to do some quick shopping. Josh has been trying to convince me we need to go back to the outlet mall!! :-)
