6 Months Pregnant and the Belly ain’t stoppin’

My belly must have “popped” again because this week I had people from work and church say stuff like- “Wow- you really look pregnant now,” or  “You have really popped,” or “I bet you are ready to have that baby” or one nice guy from my ward came up to me today and said- “You look HUGE.  Three weeks ago you looked a little pregnant, but now you definitely have a belly.”  Thanks co-workers and ward members!! I still have 3 months to go!! ha ha!

The truth is- my belly has grown 2 whole inches since August, and I am thinking it will probably grow another inch a month until this baby is born.  The good thing is- I am all BELLY!!  I haven’t gained in my face, butt, thighs, or even… the other place most pregnant woman grow.  (Okay I did go up barely one size- but then they stopped growing about a month or more ago).  My belly sticks straight out like a basketball, and I haven’t started wobbling, yet!!

I debated on whether or not to post about my growing belly, but then realized that I got pregnant right when we moved to Colorado, so all of my family and friends in Idaho, Utah, Kansas, and wherever else don’t get to see my belly grow in person!  I am one who wants to see the progress of my friends and their pregnancies, so why not share mine- even if I am “Bigger” than some other people are at 6 months.

Here are some pictures of my growing belly over that last 6 months:

4 Weeks- This is basically what I looked like pre-pregnancy.

Now for the facts I haven’t already mentioned;

I have gained 15 pounds

My biggest pregnancy side effect is my moodiness towards my sweet husband- bless his heart!  He puts up with me, and is so good to me.

The baby likes to roll in my tummy.  In other words, I feel him kicking all over.  I have seen him actually roll across a couple of times.

I don’t really know what other facts you all want to know about.  Everyone always asks me how I am feeling, and the truth is- I feel great usually!  I have days when I am emotional, extra tired, or just plain cranky, but for the most part- I feel good!  I do wake up with a back ache every morning, but I am not complaining because I am so happy and excited to have this baby and become a mom!  I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father is blessing Josh and I with the opportunity to be parents together and raise one of God’s little children.

We love our Travel System

Josh is graduating with he Masters of Public Administration in April, and so we are flying to Kansas City to go to his graduation.  Well, Josh has to go early for a conference, so I will be flying alone with our new baby.  We wanted to set up our stroller and car seat to see how big they were, and how I would go about flying by myself with the little guy.  The car seat was already put together, and we only had to add a couple things, like the wheels to the stroller. We had fun doing it together, and they are so cute!!

Ignore my face- I didn’t have make up on, and I just pulled my hair back in a messy pony tail.

Completed stroller with the bar across to put the car seat on.

This is a quilt I made. I got the material last Christmas from my step mother in law. I originally started it before I was pregnant, but ended up finishing it with a brown border after we found out we were having a  boy.  It is the first quilt that I have machine quilted.IMG_1941

Avalanche Game

We had the chance to go to the Avalanche Professional Hockey Game in Denver Thursday night.  I never knew hockey was so fun to watch.  It has a lot of action, and even lots of fights between hockey players.  I tried to capture some good videos of some of the action where hockey players would fight, or smash each other up against the wall, but every time I turned the camera on, the crazy stuff didn’t happen.

Except this one time:  Here is a short clip of a flight-

Here is another video of some of the game.  It reminded me of a Nintendo hockey game we used to play at my Grandparents house when we were little.

And of course Josh and I with the rink behind us!

Halloween FHE With Friends

Since Halloween landed on Monday we decided to get together with some other couples from our ward and have a group Halloween date/Family Home Evening together. Each couple carved their own pumpkin. Josh and I decided to go with the theme of "Our Baby." I made my Halloween costume- the pumpkin on my belly. We copied the design I made on my belly for our carved pumpkin. It turned out really cute. Our friends' pumpkins both turned out cute, as well!
