So- this post is primarily about my brother's wedding. Jason married Chelsea Baker on April 14, 2017 in the Provo City Center Temple.
It was a wonderful occasion, and you can tell they really love each other and are happy. It's always nice to go to a sealing, and be reminded of my own sealing to Josh. The sealers in the Temple always give wise advice, and it's such a special experience for the couple getting sealed and those present.
Molly, Sadie, and Aaron watched all the littles during the sealing- bless their hearts! Tina, Brant, Benji, Kayla, Josh, and I all walked into the sealing room together as Jason's siblings, and it will be neat when Aaron gets married to do that once again, but have Jason and Chelsea join us in the guest seats. Here are a couple sibling pictures after the wedding, and a couple of our wonderful babysitters with my kids.
While we waited for the happy couple to come out we had fun trying to get our kids to smile for a ton of pictures! Tina brought her nice camera, and I really wanted lots of fun pictures for the blog. Between Tina's camera and my phone, we got a pretty big loot, and a good amount of smiles.
It really was a lovely day, and by the time it was over, we were exhausted. Josh and I drove that morning to Provo, so not including my normal newborn wake-ups the night before, I was up at 5:30 am, and didn't get a nap. I didn't get a nap Saturday or Sunday either, and I am not complaining, but you better believe I did not skip my nap on Monday at home! :)
Saturday was a fun day starting with the Pocatello City wide Easter Egg hunt at Ross Park, then a bit of clearance shopping at Fred Meyer, followed by Kayla's baby boy shower at Mandarin House. After that we headed back to Utah and met up with Steve and Deana for an ice cream treat, went to the condo to do some repairs, and last met Sadie and Jarom at a Peruvian restaurant for dinner.
Sunday was Easter, and we ended up going to a random ward because Jarom had Stake Conference. Our kids hadn't been to Primary for awhile because of Zaylee being born and blessed and General Conference, so we wanted them to go to Primary. After church we enjoyed a Greek dinner at Jarom and Laura's with Molly, Sadie, and Spencer with an Easter Egg hunt for Payson and Avenly. We stopped twice on the way home- once to feed the baby and once to get Tina and Brant's keys out of their broken suburban in Beaver. We finally got home around 10:30, but the kids were asleep, so it made for an easy bedtime.
Just a quick note about Easter. We do the Easter bunny on Saturday, so we can focus on the Savior on Sunday. So far, it has worked out great. Payson is really grasping who Jesus is as much as a 5 year old can. I am so grateful that he is beginning to understand the importance of Jesus Christ, even if he doesn't really understand what Jesus did for us. I am still trying to understand what Jesus really did for us myself, but I do know that he died and lives for us, and that because of him we get to live again. Because of Jesus Christ we get to be free of our sins, and we can become like him if we do our best and accept his atonement. I love my Savior, and I am so thankful to have a Testimony of him.
Life is good! Weddings are wonderful! Family is awesome! Taking a break after experiencing it all with a newborn and two other yougins is also good, and although it has been wonderful, I am excited to just be home and be a mom for a bit!
