We took three 10 day trips this Summer despite it being Covid year. It was crazy, but our summer was very fulfilling, and it is always so fun to see family. All three of those trips included lots and lots of extended family time. Here is the link to the first trip the end of May. The second trip was our big trip to Florida.
Our last long trip took place the end of July. It was to Utah! We did everything from camping to appointments to swimming to wedding fun.
We had some fun in Southern Utah before we headed more north. Josh had to work, so we went to the splash-pad downtown with my parents and Aaron.
Anny actually spent a few days at my parents house without the rest of us before we got there. She had a lot of fun getting some one-on-one time with Grandma. Aaron took her 6 year old pictures for me.
Our first main event up North was attending the Jones family campout. This happens every year, but we have not gone very often. Josh had more work, so while he worked at the camp site the rest of us played on the beach and boat.
After the camp-out, Josh and I took Trexton to Logan to visit with one of Josh's old bosses. He had pancreatic cancer and it was so nice to see him and his wife.
We celebrated Avenly and Trex's birthdays in Grandma and Grandpa Mayo's yard. Some of the Mayo clan came and we had a nice little church service with everyone before the party.
While we were in Ogden, Avenly had her eye apointment and Josh and I got our teeth cleaned. Avenly made a new bestie with her first cousin once removed, who is a few months older than her, during the campout. I was pregnant with Avenly the same time Josh's aunt, Jeannie, was pregnant with Kelsey. Because of their new bond, they couldn't wait to play again. Jeannie was so nice to watch my kids during my teeth cleaning.
We (and the sibs) got Molly family pictures for Mother's Day. We were able to get them taken while we were up there. Our photographer did a great job getting the little girls to smile and laugh, but Trexton would not smile for anything. The pictures turned out great!
After pictures we had lunch at Jarom and Laura's house; then the kids went swimming with Molly and Sadie while Trex and I took a nice long nap. Josh went on a 22 mile bike ride with Jarom, Ezra, and his dad. I think he had fun, but it wore him out pretty good.
We spent Grandma Molly's days off that week with her. We went hiking, swimming (where Pay learned to dive), shopping, and to the duck pond. We also had yummy smores in her backyard.
My sister-in-law, Savannah, married Tui, and we are so glad. He is a great guy, and I am excited to get to know him better.
We had a great time in Utah! Summer went by so fast, and our new adventure of home-schooling began too soon, but that's another story.😀
