Colorado - 8th Anniversary

We celebrated 8 years of marriage a couple weeks ago.  We piggy-backed one of Josh's work trips and took a little familyversary trip to Colorado, however, on our actual anniversary, we did not see each other until about 9 pm that night.  AND- both of us forgot it was our anniversary that day- lol!  The truth is, we knew Josh had to work all day, so we did more of a celebration the next day in Rocky Mountain National Park.  That doesn't mean the kids and I did nothing on our anniversary.  We played with awesome cousins all day!

Benji and Kayla were so nice to let us stay at their place while Josh worked.  We had the option to go down to Colorado Springs with Josh just to sit in the hotel without a car all day, OR we could go up to Greeley and spend that time with Kayla and her kids. We chose to go North, and we are so glad we did! The kids had a blast playing with cousins, and of course it was so nice for me to spend time with Kayla (and Benji for a game night).

On Saturday, the day after our anniversary, we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park to officially celebrate our anniversary and family. We went up Trail Ridge Road to the highest peak of the National Park. We also saw Sprague Lake and Bear Lake. The BEST thing we did all day was find a meadow and go on our hike.  Zaylee loved walking a lot- more than Avenly.  The hike was a loop, and when we came back we saw a wedding going on in the meadow.

Before catching our flight, we had dinner at one of our favorite Fort Collins restaurants, Simply Thai. It was fun day!!
